1. Introduction

Grid Developer ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Construction Calculator mobile application (the "App") for Android and iOS. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles data and protects your privacy. Construction Calculator is designed to be a privacy-first, offline-first tool — your projects, estimates, and preferences are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to us. Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with its terms, please discontinue use of the App.

2. Data Collection

Construction Calculator is designed to operate entirely offline. Projects, estimates, calculator inputs, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device in an on-device database. We do not require an account, do not create a profile, and do not automatically collect or transmit your personal data.

The App does not collect:

• Personal identifiable information (name, email, phone number)
• Contacts, messages, or call logs
• Location data
• Photos, camera, or microphone access
• Information about other installed applications
• Browsing history or bookmarks

3. Local Storage

All of your data — saved projects, estimate line items, pricing, calculator inputs, and app preferences — is stored locally on your device using a built-in encrypted-by-the-OS database. This data is used solely to power the App's features and is never uploaded to any server.

4. PDF & Excel Export

The App lets you export your projects and estimates as PDF or Excel files. These exports are generated on your device from data you entered and are shared only when you explicitly choose to share or save them (for example, via the share sheet to email or another app). We do not see or store any exported file.

5. Permissions Used

Construction Calculator requests only a minimal set of permissions:

5.1 Internet

Used solely to load advertisements in the free version of the App. When you upgrade to the premium version, ads are removed and no advertising data is collected by the App itself.

5.2 Storage / Files

Used only when you choose to save or share an exported PDF or Excel file. No other files are read or written without your explicit action.

5.3 In-App Purchases

Used to process premium upgrades. All transactions are handled by Google Play Billing (Android) or the App Store In-App Purchase system (iOS). We never receive or store your payment details.

6. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services:

• Google AdMob — Used to display advertisements in the free version of the App. AdMob may collect Advertising ID, usage data related to ad interactions, and approximate location (based on IP address). Premium users see no ads. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Play Billing / Apple App Store — Used to process in-app purchases (premium upgrade). No payment data is processed by us directly; all transactions are handled by Google Play or the App Store.

You can opt out of advertising personalization by enabling "Opt out of Ads Personalization" in your device's Google settings.

7. Data Storage & Deletion

All app data (projects, estimates, preferences) is stored locally on your device. To delete all data:

• Delete individual projects from within the App's Projects screen, or
• Uninstall the App from your device, or
• Go to Settings → Apps → Construction Calculator → Storage → Clear Data

Because your data lives only on your device, uninstalling or clearing the App's data permanently deletes it. We recommend exporting any projects you need as PDF or Excel before uninstalling.

8. Children's Privacy

Construction Calculator is not directed at children under the age of 13. The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App's features or applicable regulations. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
